Deirdre T. Cooney focuses her practice on employment and labor litigation as well as commercial litigation. Deirdre has assisted clients in matters involving contract disputes and has also represented employers in employment-related cases both in court and before administrative agencies involving, among other things, workplace discrimination, harassment, whistleblower retaliation, unequal pay, and wage payment violations. Prior to joining the firm, Deirdre served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Lisa A. Firko, J.A.D. in the Superior Court of New Jersey, Appellate Division, and as a pro bono law clerk for the Honorable Brian R. Martinotti, U.S.D.J., in the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey.
Deirdre earned her J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law, where she was a member of the Interscholastic Moot Court Board and earned awards for Excellence in Oral Advocacy as well as Best Brief and First Place Honors at the National Health Law Moot Court Competition. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology and Neuroscience, magna cum laude, from King’s College in 2016.”
